BISWANATH CHARIALI: The Central Government has launched a new 'Farmer Partnership Prathamikata Hamari' programme for all the farmers of the country from April 24.
Addressing a press conference on this subject, Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath Munindra Nath Ngatey sought public cooperation in this regard, besides giving information about the steps to be taken through Gram Panchayats. Referring to this special campaign which started today and will continue till May 1, the Deputy Commissioner said that all eligible Prime Minister Kishan beneficiaries of the district will be covered to avail the benefits of the current scheme. He added that KCC Abhiyan aims to cover all eligible farmers under various social security schemes like PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJBY, APY etc and also to collect potential farmers through special Gram Sabhas at the Gram Panchayat-level under the initiative of Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India in association with the State Government. He further said that in this campaign, the beneficiaries will be informed about filling and submission of specific application forms provided by the banks. Presently, there are 35,066 eligible Pradhan Mantri Kisan beneficiaries and 233 Kisan Credit Card holders in the district. Through this campaign a target has been set to issue credit cards to the remaining beneficiaries.
