We’ll Contest In 40 BTC Seats, And Win Most of Them: Jayanta Kumar Das

Tamulpur: “In the forthcoming BTC election to be held in 2020, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) will contest in 40 seats independently. BJP will win majority seats and stake claim to power in BTC in 2020. Under the leadership of State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Das, BJP is gaining in strength throughout the state. People of Assam as well as BTAD have put their trust in the party at every step,” said State BJP spokesperson Jayanta Kumar Das while addressing a press meet on Sunday evening at Tamulpur, Sankardev Vidya Niketan.

He also said that in the last membership drive, more than 52,000 people joined the BJP in Baksa district. Due to the good response, the membership drive date had been extended till September 7. Appreciating all the BJP leaders and workers of BTAD, Jayanta Kumar Das said that due to the sacrifice of those party leaders and workers, the BJP was gaining in strength in the four districts of BTAD. He also appealed to the common people to support the BJP so that the party could come to power in BTC.

Secretary of State BJP, Shivnath Brahma, MCLA Dharmanarayan Das, Baksa district president Ram Dahal and other local BJP leaders were present in the press meet. Before the press meet, an executive meeting of Baksa district BJP was held at the auditorium hall of Tamulpur Sankardev Vidya Niketan where a number of proposals were taken.
