DEMOW: Under Demow Revenue Circle in Panidehing mouza on Monday night, a herd of wild elephants created havoc and destroyed a couple of farmers’ paddy storage houses. According to sources, the herd of wild elephants entered Kotiyori village near Demow which is under Panidehing mouza and destroyed the paddy storage houses of Bhaben Deori, Diganta Deori, Debeswar Deori, and Robin Deori. On the other hand, the herd of wild elephants also broke the wall of Madhab Jyoti Deori. The villagers tried to chase away the wild elephants but the herd left the village only the next morning.
