Woman dies of suicide, husband arrested in Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: A married woman, Pallabi Kaffle (36) died by suicide on Thursday night. Pallabi was mother of two children and a resident of Balijuri under Sootea police station. According to information, Pallabi had a strained relationship with her husband Pradip Kaffle and his family members since long. She used to stay in her parents' house here at Pachigaon. Her husband, an employee of BSF, used to live in Russia and he had come to his Balijuri house a couple of days ago. Pallabi also returned to her husband's house with a hope of giving their marriage a second chance and starting life anew with him. But unfortunately, she allegedly killed herself on Thursday night. The family members of Pallabi allege it to be a planned murder and registered a case at Sootea police station. Her body was brought to the Balijuri house after post-mortem. Pallabi's family members reached the spot and tried to burn the body in the lawn of Pradip's house. But Sootea police reached the spot on time and managed to bring the situation under control. Sootea police then arrested the husband, Pradip Kaffle for further investigation.
