Women Self Help Group of Hailakandi selected for National Award

Hailakandi: Panthoibee, a women Self Help Group of village Purba Kitter Bond II under Lala Development Block has been selected for the National Award for best performing SHG under Deendayal Antodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).

Established in the year 2011, the women SHG has been involved in a number of activities such as weaving, tailoring, cultivation and other livelihoods under the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission.

Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli and District Development Commissioner, Vikram Dev Sharma congratulated the women SHG for being selected for the National Award in particular and ASRLM, Hailakandi in general.
