LAKHIMPUR: One more worker died at the working place of the controversial Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (SLHP) with 2000 MW installation capacity, being constructed by NHPC Limited at Gerukamukh of Dhemaji district under Assam-Arunachal border area. The worker has been identified as Ashok Sadha, aged 42 years, resident of Musahar, Tapeswari, Ward No. 2, Udaypur, Nepal.

As per report, Ashok Sadha was performing shuttering works at the Block No. 7 of the SLHP main dam on Monday. Suddenly, he fell down and sustained severe injuries. Then he was immediately shifted to Dhemaji Civil Hospital, but declared brought dead. Ashok was a contract basis worker under Soma Enterprise, a construction company, engaged in the construction work of the project.
