Workshop for medical professionals organized at Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital

LAKHIMPUR: In view of creating awareness, a workshop-cum-meeting for medical professionals was organized by Lakhimpur Cancer Centre in the auditorium of Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital (LMCH) on Friday.

Dr HK Bhattacharya, Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent of LMCH, attended the event as chief guest. The Medical Superintendent of Lakhimpur Cancer Centre delivered the welcome address. It was followed by presentations on the facilities and the infrastructure available at Lakhimpur Cancer Centre along with details of the kind of work being carried out in the same. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest made an elaboration over the cancer load in the State as well as in the Northeast along with the interventions required to mitigate the sufferings amongst the cancer-afflicted people. Thirty-six medical professionals attended the workshop.
