GAURISAGAR: With a view to nurture young minds, the newly-formed NGO ‘Snehashi’s organized a three-day long workshop from October 26 to 28 at Hatighuli MV School on the outskirts of Gaurisagar in Sivasagar district. This three-day workshop welcomed bright young minds from classes six, seven and eight along with eager students from the neighbouring No 323, Hatighuli LP School, spanning grades four and five.
The workshop was a vibrant tapestry of activities, including yoga, dance, singing and a journey of self-discovery through the SWOT analysis framework. The journey commenced with a soothing yoga workshop, where experienced instructors gently introduced the students to the ancient practice of aligning mind and body. It emphasized the significance of physical and mental well-being, discipline and self-awareness. Simultaneously, the dance workshop set the stage ablaze with the magic of movement led by accomplished instructors, students delved into various dance forms, fostering teamwork, coordination, discipline and the valuable skill of creative self-expression. In another corner, the singing workshop became a harmonious choir of voices. Guided by seasoned vocalists and musicians, students discovered the joy of singing while refining their vocal skills, discipline, practice and the art of self-expression through music.
The essence of this transformative experience was the self-introspection for growth workshop, utilizing the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) framework as a guide for personal development. Here, students embarked on a profound journey of self-awareness, critically assessing their strengths and areas for improvement. This equipped them with life skills to navigate the complex terrains of academic and personal growth.
On the concluding day, the budding talents demonstrated their newly-acquired skills in yoga, dance and singing, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. The final day programme was a celebration of excellence, hosted by Block Sengfa Mohan Phukan, a dedicated member of Snehashish.
The event commenced with an official introduction of the Snehashish NGO by its president, Sneha Changkakoty. Esteemed guests, including social workers and journalists Rajib Dutta, Arun Hazarika, Tarulata Baruah, Headmistress , Hatighuli MV School ,Monuj Nath , president, School Managing Committee and Junu Saikia, Headmistress, No 323, Hatighuli LP School were welcomed with gratitude and appreciation.
They shared inspiring words on student development and commended the impactful work of Snehashish. Rupa Saikia, Taru Prova Nath, both teachers of the school and Aparupa Chutia, a guardian, also shared their heartfelt thoughts on the significant impact of the works of the NGO.. Students from both schools then took centre stage, presenting a harmonious chorus of songs followed by captivating dance performances.
Members of Snehashish also showcased their boundless enthusiasm with stellar performances, including soulful songs performed individually by Sneha Changkakoty, Ananya Dutta Hazorika, Biswajit Konwar, Gitaswami Phukan and marvelous individual dance performances by Salehuddin Ahmed and Blocksenfa Mohan Phukan.
As the event approached its final hours, Lucky Gogoi and Sneha Chankakoty underlined the importance and purpose of SWOT Analysis in a students life providing guidance in achieving their dreams. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Chief Secretary of the NGO, Kautabh Chetia, leaving everyone in attendance with a profound sense of fulfillment, inspiration, and a renewed commitment to empowering youth through holistic development. This harmonious blend of self-discovery, creativity, and personal growth embodied Snehashish unwavering dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared to tackle the challenges of the modern world.
