Workshop on Recycling of Solid Waste Disposal held at Rupai

DOOMDOOMA, Feb 26: Under the auspices of ABITA-UNICEF (Assam Branch Indian Tea Association - United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) a one-day workshop on creating awareness amongst tea labourers on 'Recycling of Solid Waste Disposal (SWD)' was organized at Rupai TE on Wednesday.

For that, 30 teenager female members were selected for the UNICEF Wash Component from the teenager units of six tea gardens under ABITA, Doomdooma circle, namely, Rupai, Deamoolie, Beesakopie, Daimukhia, Baghjan and Digulturrang and were given training in the workshop under the supervision of the chief resource person Mridusmita Chaudhury.
