Workshop on stress management convened held by Holy Child English School

JAMUGURIHAT: A workshop on stress management convened by Holy Child English School, Jamugurihat was held in the conference hall of the school on Sunday with Moti Kumar Newar, MD of the school, in the chair.

Kumar Newar, principal of the school, forwarded a welcome address which was attended by Siddharth Dev, an eminent educationist as a resource person. Addressing the gathering, Siddharth Dev stated about the importance of introduction of stress management course in the academic curriculum. He provided basic tips to the teachers and parents who attended the workshop on how to reduce the work load and mental as well as physical pressure on children. During his speech, Dev had cited examples of Japan, South Africa, the USA where lessons on stress management are taught. He further presented a statistics of adverse effects of stress on the life and family of working people, students’life etc.
