World No Tobacco Day Celebration Observed by NTCP in Golaghat, Assam

GOLAGHAT: No Tobacco Day Celebration in NTCP, Golaghat: On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day on Monday, the National Tobacco Control Project (NTCP), Golaghat observed the day by conducting an awareness programme.

Nodal Officer Dr Sunita Ekka said that NTCP had taken up various awareness programmes in remote areas of the Golaghat district in order to control tobacco-caused diseases. On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the NTCP team carried out an awareness drive by distributing leaflets. By maintaining COVID protocol, the NTCP, Golaghat arranged a meeting in the open stage of Golaghat District Sports Association playground.

In the meeting, the Joint Director of Health services, Golaghat, officials of NTCP, GDSA officials took part. In the meeting, Nodal Officer of NTCP, Dr. Sunita Ekka spoke briefly about the ill effects of tobacco.
