World Ozone Day held at Mahakali Grant High School, Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Aryabhata Science Centre of Itakhuli Block in Tinsukia district observed World Ozone Day on September 16 along with the rest of the World at Mahakali Grant High School. Aryabhatta Science Centre is functioning under ASTEC. The programme organized in collaboration with Mahakali Grant High School and attended by students of several schools and general public was chaired by Deepti Moyee Choudhury headmistress of the school. The event moderated by Robin Kurmi was addressed by Mohendra Deka as chief guest, Nipan Das, Ghanashyam Orang, Geeta Pathak and Manomi Devi as guest speakers who in their deliberations discussed in detail on ozone depletion and its adverse effects on life. A video on ozone was also projected in the programme.
