Dibrugarh: World Philosophy Day, 2018 was observed here at the Centre for Studies in Philosophy, Dibrugarh University (DU) under the aegis of Indian Council for Philosophical Research, New Delhi on Thursday with a daylong programme. To mark the occasion, Prof Xavier P Mao of NEHU, Shillong delivered his lecture on the concept of Tribe, Tribal Studies and Tribal Intellectual. Vice Chancellor of DU, Dr Ranjit Tamuly formally released an anthology entitled 'Essay in Philosophy' comprising of all the previous World Philosophy Day lectures and published by the publication division, DU. A hand written magazine titled Jigyasa was also released on the occasion by Prof Mao. This daylong programme was graced by Prof Nava Kumar Handique, Dean, School of Humanities, Social sciences and Law and other dignitaries.
