World Photography Day observed in North Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: The World Photography Day will be observed across the globe on August 19 to celebrate the power of photography to capture and communicate the world. In connection with the World Photography Day, the Lakhimpur Science Centre and Planetarium, North Lakhimpur has organized a photography and selfie competition on that day. The theme of the competition is ‘Use of Science on Every Day Life’.

In this context, by issuing a notice, Arjit Mahajan, Assistant Commissioner of Lakhimpur-cum-Curator in charge of Lakhimpur Science Centre and Planetarium, informed that the winners of the photography contest would be awarded with prizes in three categories. i.e Rs. 1500 as 1st Prize, Rs. 1000 as 2nd Prize and Rs. 500 as 3rd Prize. For selfie contest, each winner will receive Rs. 500. Moreover, the winners and their family will be awarded a free show at the Lakhimpur Science Centre and Planetarium.

Lakhimpur district administration and the Curator in-charge have called upon the people of Lakhimpur to participate in the photography and selfie competitions to make the event successful.
