AMINGAON: Amidst comprehensive management and tight security, the written examination for grade-IV posts was held peacefully in Kamrup district on Sunday. The examination was in 91 centres of the district. The first shift examination was held from 10 am to 12 noon while the second shift was held from 2 pm to 4 pm.

ln the first shift, a total of 28,278 applicants (out of 33575 applicants) and in the second shift, a total of 8226 applicants (out of 9751 applicants) appeared in the written examination. Because of the micro planning made by the district administration along with Kamrup police, the examination was held peacefully without any incident of violation of rule. District administration along with Kamrup Police ensured tight security in every examination centre with an enhanced monitoring system.

Meanwhile, District Magistrate of Kamrup, Keerthi Jalli on Saturday imposed some prohibitions under section 144 CrPC within the 100 metre radius of every centre to ensure free, fair and transparent recruitment. In addition to that 51 supervisors from Kamrup Metro and 42 supervisors from Nalbari District were also engaged to monitor the whole written examination process.

On the other hand Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta, Director General of Assam Police also visited Sarala Birala Gyanjyoti School, Amingaon and Fatima Convent School, Rangia for taking stock of the written examination for grade -IV posts. Bharat Bhushan Choudhury, Secretary, Secondary Education, Dr Bijoya Choudhury, Secretary, Elementary Education, Mamata Hojai, Director, Secondary Education, Keerthi Jally, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup and other senior officials also visited some centres of the district to monitor the examination.

Meanwhile, Kamrup District Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli expressed her gratitude to all concerned related to examination management for successfully conducting the examination in the district.
