Yajna for world peace underway by Assam Brahmin Samaj, Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: For world peace, the Assam Brahmin Samaj, Bongaigaon committee started a three-day long Sri Sri Mahabishnu Yajna from Saturday. Subrata Chakraborty, secretary of the reception committee, said that the yajna was started on Saturday by Rohini Kumar Choudhury, which was followed by mangalasaranam and adhibas. “Today on the second day of the programme, the flag of Assam Brahmin Samaj was hoisted by Pradip Kumar Bhagawati and dharmadhwaj was hoisted by Binod Kumar Bhagawati. It was followed by several programme,” he said. Nalini Sarma of the reception committee said that the yajna was held in Bongaigaon since 1972, but yet the yajna committee had no land.
