Yoga session organised in Silchar relief camp

SILCHAR: In a significant initiative, on Tuesday, the Cachar administration organised a yoga session for the inmates in a relief camp at Government Girls HS School, Silchar where 'Aapda Mitra volunteers' demonstrated different yoga postures to the inmates for their mental and physical health. Sanitisation process was also carried out in different relief camps on the day with the help of Silchar Municipality. Silchar legislator Dipayan Chakrabarty inspected the work of garbage removal. Silchar MP Dr Rajdeep Roy also monitored the entire programme. 1,68,129 people had been affected in Cachar. 17,075 people took shelter in 53 relief camps in the district.
