Youth drowns in Dhansiri River at Panjan Parghat in Golaghat district

SARUPATHAR: An 18-year old boy drowned in the Dhansiri River in Panjan Parghat in Golaghat district on Saturday.

According to report, a total of six youths who had come out to buy vegetables, changed their mind and went near the river. Sudeep Suklabaidya (18), a resident of Nalani village in Sarupathar, did not come back from the river with his friends.

Sarupathar Police informed the SDRF team and once the SDRF team arrives, the rescue operation will begin, said a police personnel.
