Youth Festival held in Birjhora Public Library, Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: Bongaigaon district administration in collaboration with District Sports and Youth Affairs department on Monday organized Yuva Utsav in Birjhora Public Library, Bongaigaon. Nabadeep Pathak, Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon gave the welcome speech. Simi Karan, SDO(C), North Salmara, Luna Sonowal, Addl SP, Bongaigaon, Chandana Choudhury, Public Prosecutor, Dr Oli Chakraborty, Deputy Superintendent of Bongaigaon Civil Hospital, participated in the discussion forum and put forward their views on ending child marriage.

Students from various colleges of the district participated in the Youth Festival, wherein different programmes like dance, chorus, a drama on child marriage, recitation, etc were also organized. Youths of the district were felicitated who carried honour to the district participating and winning awards in sports, music competition, dance competition etc outside the district.
