SAIHA: The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, in collaboration with District Hospital, Saiha organized a blood donation camp on Monday.
According to a press release, five soldiers of Assam Rifles donated blood in the event. The camp was primarily aimed at providing maximum units of blood to the District Hospital, Saiha where it will be made available to the patients from economically weaker sections of Mizoram. A certificate of appreciation was presented to every donor in recognition of their benevolent participation.
Medical Staff of the hospital and local appreciated the efforts made by the Lunglei Battalion for the donation of blood, which will eventually help in saving precious lives.
LECTURE ORGANIZED: Meanwhile, another press release informed that the Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles conducted an awareness lecture on various ongoing Central and State Government welfare scheme at Thingsai village of Mizoram on Monday.
The aim of the lecture was to raise awareness about Government schemes launched for welfare of people. Locals were educated on Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana under Ayushman Bharat the scheme, which was launched by the Government of India along with various health schemes launched by Mizoram Government from time to time.
