Badarpur Press Club (BPC) Celebrate Its 10th Foundation Day

Silchar: Badarpur Press Club (BPC) completed 9 years of its establishment. On the occasion of its foundation day, on August 5, the club organized a series of programmes at the railway town of Badarpur. The programme included road safety awareness drive, written quiz competition, cleaning the historical fort at Badarpurghat and cultural events.

In the first phase, it was road safety awareness drive in collaboration with Badarpur Police Station. Driving license were checked, inquired about seat belt wearing, advised to wear helmets for two wheeler riders. Those who were found guilty, BPC members and police authority advised them to rectify themselves. Without punishing any penalty, the drivers were awarded with floral garland and flower stick to feel their fault. Jugal Kishore Bora, o/c Badarpur and Monoranjan Sinha, traffic in-charge also attended on behalf of police authority.
