“There is an extreme need to promote peace and values. The best way is through education. I hope that peace reaches everywhere in our beloved country and the rest of the world,” said Inspector of Schools, Rajiv Kumar Jha. “I am sure that children who staged such shows of peace will become themselves ambassadors of peace and will make our society more harmonious,” added Jha. International Day of Peace, or “Peace Day“, was established in 1981 by the United Nations and is celebrated every year on September 21. It provides a globally observed date for all of humanity to commit to peace and work together for a more unified, tolerant and compassionate global culture.
