Voters can display EPIC voter cards in addition to other documents

Silchar: As per instructions from the Election Commission of India, voters in Cachar district can display their EPIC voter cards while casting their votes on April 18 for the Lok Sabha election. However, the Commission has also mentioned that in addition to the EPIC cards, a host of other documents can also be shown as proof of identification for casting votes. Among the listed documents include passport, driving license, service photo identity cards, bank or post office passbooks with photo, pan card, smart cards issued by the RGI under NPR, MGNREGA job cards, smart cards for health insurance under Ministry of Labour, Government of India, pension papers with photograph, recognition certificates issued by MP, MLA, and Aadhaar Card.
