1st B M Khaitan Memorial Inter-School Chess Championship concludes

GUWAHATI: The 1st B M Khaitan Memorial Inter-School Chess Championship was held at the Assam Valley School, Balipara, Tezpur on Sunday. Altogether 62 players from different schools of the State participated in the meet. Pakshalika High School of Sivasagar won the Best School Trophy while host Assam Valley School and South Point School Guwahati were awarded the 1st and 2nd runners up School trophy respectively. On the other hand Bal Bharti Public School of Guwahati was given the "Most promising School" award.

Results: Team- Winner (Under 14): Pakshalika High Sivasagar. (Under 17): South Point School Guwahati. Individual:Guruttam Borah (Pakshalika High Sivasagar). U-17: Tushar Mallick (The Assam valley School).
