Abdul Aziz Qureshi hits first century in Pride Cup Cricket at Amingaon Cricket Ground

GUWAHATI: Rode on an unbeaten century from Abdul Aziz Qureshi and equally good knock from Sumit Kashyap (97. 56 balls, 4X11, 6X2) Gauhati Town Club (GTC) defeated ASEBSC by 68 runs in the Pride Cup Cricket match held at the Amingaon Cricket Ground on Thursday. Qureshi, scored the first century of the meet, remained not out on 102 and he took just 36 balls to score those runs with the help of seven boundaries and nine over boundaries. In the other match of the day Bud Cricket Club beat Ankurjyoti Club by a single run.

Brief scores: 1st match- Bud Cricket Club 78-9 (13 overs), Bishal Saha 35,Akash Basfor 3-12, Ankurjyoti Club 77-8 (13 overs), Debanuj Goswami 33, Rohit Singh 3-12, Abhilash Gogoi 3-22.

2nd match: Gauhati Town Club 237-1 (20 overs), Abdul Aziz Qureshi 102 no, Sumit Kashyap 97 no, Abhishek Gupta 34, ASEBSC 169-8 (20 overs), Parag Thakuria 52, Chayanmoni Das 31, Bishal Sharma 3-10.
