ABSU hails government

KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) on Saturday thanked the Government of Assam for encouraging the sports personalities, who are being given the due incentives by way of sports pension and pecuniary support from the government and appointment letters to boxer Jamuna Boro and archer Sanjay Boro.

The president of the ABSU Dipen Boro said that the ABSU appreciated the initiative taken by the government of Assam for sports personalities of state, which is very supportive and encouraging for future generations of sports talents.

Welcoming and congratulating all the sports personalities who have received the regular sports pension and pecuniary award for medal winners, Boro extended his gratitude to the government of Assam for giving importance on sports.

Meanwhile, the appointments were given by state government to Jamuna Boro (boxing) and Sanjay Boro (archery) as per the State's Sports Policy in the Excise department as Inspector of Excise. The ABSU in its statement said they were grateful to the Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for taking such step. The ABSU hopes many young generations will rise in the field of sports and ABSU urges the youths of Assam to join the career in sports and bring glory to nation and self.
