Arunachalee weightlifter Markio Tario to represent India in AWF Asian Senior Weightlifting Championship

ITANAGAR: Arunachalee weightlifter Markio Tario (18), has been selected by Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWF) to represent India in AWF Asian Senior (men & women) Weightlifting Championship, scheduled to be held at Manama in Bahrain, during October 6 to 16. It may be recalled here that Tario was adjudged senior national weightlifting champion in 67-kg bodyweight category with a total lift of 286-kg in National Weightlifting Championships conducted at Bhubaneshwar in Odisha a few months back, The young weightlifter also won a gold medal for Arunachal Pradesh in the third Khelo India Youth Games 2020 conducted in Guwahati.
