ASEBSC storm into semis of Bordoloi Trophy

GUWAHATI: ASEBSC defeated OIL India FC by a solitary goal in their last group match of the 69th Bharat Ratna Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football tournament at the Nehru Stadium here today. With this win ASEBSC bagged top spot in the group 'A'. it was the second victory for ASEBSC in the competition and they collected 7points from their three outings.

The first half of the match failed to produce any goal. However ASEBSC ensured 3 points when Sishuram Chutia's own goal in 78th minute gave them the crucial lead.

Meanwhile in another match at Mangaldoi, BSS SC, Kolkata, who already qualified for semis, defeated Hills United FC 5-0 in the last Group B match. Subhankar Das (11', 38'), Debajan Hazra (35'), Rahul Duari (50') and Lob Das (55') scored for the Kolkata club.
