ASEBSC win Independence Cup title defeating Kerala United Football Club

GUWAHATI: Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEBSC) won Independence Day Cup Soccer title defeating Kerala United Football Club via tie break 4-3 at Nagaon today. The schedule time and extra time of the game ended 1-1 draw.

Dipen Daimary put ahead ASEBSC in the 42nd minutes and Bishnu scored the equalizer 9 minutes before the final whistle. The extra time failed to break the dead-lock.

It is the fourth occasions when ASEBSC won the title. Earlier the side lifted the trophy in 1986, 1995 and 2016. They also finished runners up in 2015 and 2016
