Assam Bags Team Title by Defeating Manipur in Table Tennis Tournament

GUWAHATI: Assam emerged champion in the team event of the Indian Audit and Accounts North East Zone Table Tennis Tournament beating Manipur in the final by 3-0. Manash Ghosh, Saidul Alam Ahmed and Manas Pratim Das won their respective singles against Y Dinesh (11-5, 11-5 and 11-7), Th Dharmendra (4-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-8) and Ksh Vikash (11-3, 11-7, 8-11 and 11-5) which ensured titles for the team. The women singles final will be held between Maumita Saha and Jasprit Kaur. Both the players are representing Mizoram in the competition.
