Assam boxer Aikon Mili ensures medal in Khelo India Games

GUWAHATI: Assam boxer Aikon Mili ensured first medal for the state in the Khelo India Games at Bhopal today. Aikon, participating in the 54 kg category, defeated Taraha Priya of Arunachal Pradesh and entered into the semi final. Aikon's progress also ensured a medal for her in the competition. It was the second occasion when the boxer won a medal from the Khelo India Games. Meanwhile, Spriha Harishi Kashyap narrowly missed a medal for Assam in the girl's Yogasan as she finished fourth in her category.
