Assam boxer Aikon Mili wins bronze in Khelo India Games

GUWAHATI: Aikon Mili bagged the bronze medal in the boxing event of the Khelo India Games in Bhopal here on Friday. It was the first medal for Assam in the 5th edition of the Games. Assam boxer, who participated in the 54kg weight category, lost her semi final bout against a Manipuri boxer. It was the second occasion when Aikon bagged a medal from Khelo India as she won a bronze medal in the last edition of the Games also.

Meanwhile two gymnasts from Assam Upasha Talukdar and Aditi Todi entered into the final in their respective events. Upasha participated in the rhythmic gymnastics and Aditi in artistic.
