GUWAHATI: Officials of the Assam Cricket Association inspected the ACA Cricket Complex in Barpeta on Saturday to check the progress of the infrastructure development work.
The delegation, comprising of Secretary Tridib Konwar, Treasurer Chiranjit Langthasa, CEO Pritam Mahanta, Jyotishmoy Bora (Manager, Infrastructure) and Barpeta DSA Secretary Sanatan Das, were on hand to oversee the construction of a boundary wall and earth filling work at the complex.
Speaking about the visit secretary Tridib Konwar expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the project. He felt the work being done will go a long way towards enhancing the playing conditions for cricketers in the district and its adjoining areas.
It may be mentioned here that Assam Cricket Association started various development work related to the cricket infrastructure in various part of the state. A couple of new projects, including Amingaon and Furkatting, already started functioning. The project at Barpeta is expected to be completed soon.
