Assam lift runners-up title in ladies doubles event of ITF Seniors tennis tournament

GUWAHATI: The ladies doubles pair of Nazneen Zaffar and Bobita Langthasa from Assam lifted the runners-up title in the ladies doubles event of the ITF Seniors tennis tournament which concluded recently at Karnal, Haryana. In the final they lost to the pair from Haryana’s Simi Begum and Vibha Choudhury in straight sets 1-6, 2-6. It may be mentioned that this is the first Assam women seniors team to have participated in an ITF seniors event.
