Assam lose to Punjab in Women Senior T20 League at Ranchi

GUWAHATI: Assam suffered six wickets defeat against Punjab in the Women Senior T20 League tie at Ranchi today. Elected to bat, Assam managed to score 112-3 in their 20 overs even though opener Uma Chetry and Monikha Das played two good knocks. Uma remained not out on 63 and there were six boundaries and two sixes in her innings. Monikha scored 42 with the help of four boundaries.

In reply Punjab took 16.2 overs to score winning runs losing four wickets. Taniya Bhatia and Pragati Singh (not out) contributed 32 runs each. In the next Game Assam will face Bengal on April 21.
