Assam Premier Handball League To Be Held In Guwahati from July 10

Guwahati: Assam Handball Association will organize Assam Premier Handball League in the city from July 10. The three-day competition will be held at the Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor stadium.

Addressing a media conference the president of the Assam Handball Association Amal Narayan Patowary said, altogether ten teams which included host Assam, Bengal, Services, Himachal Handball Academy, Manipur, SSB, Punjab Police will take part in the championship. He also added: "The preparatory cum selection camp of the State team will kick off tomorrow at Naharkotia. Inderjit Singh Randhwa, the senior coach of All India Handball Federation, will attend the camp as the chief coach. The media briefing was also attended by the secretary and vice president of the Assam Olympic Association Lakhya Konwar and Pranoy Bordoloi respectively."

The jersey of the tournament was also launched at the same programme.
