Assam win 4 medals in Khelo India Women Judo National League

GUWAHATI: Assam bagged four medals in the sub junior event of the Khelo India Women Judo National League and Ranking tournament which got under way at the SAI Sports complex in the city today. Among the four medals one is gold. The host also bagged a silver and two bronze in the meet. The gold medal was won by Beauty Das in below 26kg. Mrinmoyee Saikia won silver medal in the below 32 kg. Parbina Ruma (-28kg) and Purnima Deori (-44kg) won two bronze medals for Assam today. Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by MLA (Guwahati East) Siddhartha Bhattacharya. 10 States from the region are taking part in the championship.
