Assam Youth Olympics: Upasha Talukdar hogs limelight with four Gold

Guwahati: Gymnast Upasha Talukdar came out with a superb performance in the Assam Youth Olympics in Guwahati today. The gymnast, who represented Kamrup in the competition, collected four gold medals in four categories of Rhythmic Gymnastics which were Club, Ball, Hoop and Ribbon. Till date it is the best performance by an athlete in the ongoing tournament.

Meanwhile at the end of Day III of the competition Guwahati are now leading the medal tally with 64 medals which included 17 gold, 21 silver and 26 bronze. Kamrup secured the second spot in the Medals tally with a total of 34 medals (13 Gold, 8 Silver and 13 Bronze). Jorhat were in the third spot. They collected 16 medals (6 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze).
