ATPA Shield Football Tournament Starts At Jorhat

JORHAT: The prestigious ATPA Shield Football Tournament kicked off at Jorhat District Sports Association(JDSA) playground here today. Charaibahi Sports Club, Jorhat defeated NRL Sports Academy via tie-breaker in the inaugural match.

The match was inaugurated by former state footballer Korbindo Borkakoty in presence of Palit Bora, the chairman of Assam Agricultural Marketing Board, Prasanta Jyoti Goswami, Chairman JDA, Pawan Bordoloi chairman JMB, Shantanu Pujari, president of Jorhat District Sports Association among sports organizers Dr. Tapan Dutta and Noni Dutta played at the JDSA playground. The match ended 1-1 draw in schedule time. In the tiebreaker, Charaibahi Sports Club scored 3 while NRL Football managed to score only one.

Moran Town Club will face Jorhat Town Club tomorrow.
