Barpeta lift J K Baruah Cricket title at Nehru Stadium

GUWAHATI: Barpeta lifted JK Baruah Cricket title defeating Mangaldai by an innings and 7 runs in the final held at the Nehru Stadium here today. In reply to Mangaldai's first innings total 124, Barpeta today bowled out 221 in their first innings. Highlight of Barpeta's innings was a fine century from Dipankar Paul who scored 106 from 139 balls. Subhrajit Deka bagged 5-59. Mangaldai were bowled out 90 in the second innings. Himangshu Saraswat (3-22) was the most successful bowler for Barpeta in the second innings.
