Bhagyabati Kachari storms into final

GUWAHATI: Assam's boxer Bhagyabati Kachari stormed into the final in 75 kg of the 5th Elite Women's National Boxing Championship on the penultimate day at Hisar on Tuesday. In the semi final Bhagyabati, representing RSPB in the meet, defeated Shalakha singh of Delhi 5-0. In the final she would face Saweety of Haryana. However two other boxers from Assam Ankushita Boro and Jamuna Boro had to satisfy with bronze medal after they suffered defeat in semi final. Anjali Tushar of Delhi beat Ankushita Boro 5-0 in 65 kg while Jamuna Boro also lost by identical margin to Renu of Haryana in 54 kg.
