Big win for Assam in U-23 One Day meet at Cuttack

GUWAHATI: Rode on all-round performance Assam thrashed Sikkim by 239 runs in the U-23 One Day meet at Cuttack today. Assam, bat first, piled up 295-8 in their 50 overs. Mujibur Ali (63) and Saahil Jain (65) scored half-centuries. The good contribution came from the bat of Biplab Saikia (46), Rameez Rabbanni (44) and Erik Roy (33) too.

Later Mukhtar Hussain and Santanu Dhar bowled beautiful spells that restricted Sikkim for paltry 56 runs. Mukhtar picked up six wickets in the match giving away only 30 runs while Santanu collected the remaining four for ten.
