Biswajit Basumatary passes away due to post COVID complication

GUWAHATI: DEAN of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education Biswajit Basumatary passed away last night due to post COVID complication. He was 57 years old. A sports enthusiast, Basumatary was also an able administrator. His pioneering research in the area of sports contributed in major project as a Research Investigator and member with Indian Throwing Olympic team held at 2016 Rio Olympic, Brazil. Assam Sepak Takraw Association had mourned the death of Basumatary.
