Dima Hasao Taekwondo Association: Inter School taekwondo championship held

HAFLONG: The 2nd Dima Hasao Inter School taekwondo championship was held at district library auditorium on Saturday with great enthusiasm.

The program was organized by Dima Hasao Taekwondo Association in association with Mishi Taekwondo.

Over hundred students from several schools of Haflong participated in the championship. It was for the first time where digital system was used i.e Point Scoring System (PSS) for fair game play which is also used for video reply for fair means of play. There were three categories i.e Sub Junior, Cadet and Junior each having their own ‘Kyorugi’ and ‘Poomsae’.

Prizes were later handed over for Sub-junior level best fighter- Raghav Rai, best Poomsae- Anshuman Joishi: Cadet best fighter- Jeffrey Sitlhou, best Poomsae- Aprajeet Paul: Junior best Poomsae- Benla Kemprai, best Kyorugi- Nathan Darnei.

The organizing president Anuj Kumar Hagjer said that the best players will be selected for upcoming state level tournament.
