Double Crown for Arunava Majumder in Asian Juniors U-14 Tennis Tournament

GUWAHATI: Arunava Majumder of India clinched the double crown in the Asian Juniors U-14 Tennis Tournament which concluded at Jorhat today. In the singles, Arunava Majumder defeated Ashwajit Senjam of India 6-1, 6-2. Later he paired with Manan Nath of India to win the doubles title beating Samprit Sharma and Kriish Tyagi, both from India, 7-5, 6-4. Raktim Saikia, the president of the All Assam Tennis Association, attended the closing function and also distributed the prizes.

Final results of girls event: Singles: Pari Singh (Ind) bt. Saumitra Jagatdeo Verma (Ind) 6-1, 6-1. Doubles: Namrata Das (Ind) and Nemha Sarah Kispotta (Ind) bt. Ridhi Choudhury Poka (Ind) and Jyoshita Sureshkumar Amutha (Ind) 6-1, 7-6 (8).
