GUWAHATI: Bud Cricket Club registered 47-run win over North Nalbari Sports Club of Nalbari in opening game of the final round of Assam Premier League Cricket at Tinsukia DSA Stadium, Tinsukia on Thursday.
In the rain interrupted match, which was reduced to 20 overs, North Nalbari Sports Club won the toss and invited the opponent to bat first. Bud CC scored 158 in allotted overs losing 7 wickets with the help of Amzad Ali's 47, Swarupam Purakayastha's 40 and Nipan Deka's 23 Biswajit Barman and Majidul Islam took two wickets each. North Nalbari SC could score only 111 in 18.1 overs. Nibir Deka contributed 46 from 38 balls. Swarupam claimed 4 wickets for 41 while Abu Nechim Ahmed took 3 wickets for 11.
At Dibrugarh, the match between Rangia Cricket Association and Nambar Club was abandoned due to overnight rain and wet outfield. Both team took two points each.
Title contender Bud won 4 points from this result. They will face Rangmon Club of Lakhimpur while Nambar Club will take on Saptarshi Club of Tinsukia on Friday.
