GUWAHATI: Fitness and sports quiz for school students, organized by Sports Authority of India, has been made even more attractive for the participants. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in a major boost up has announced that the two lakh students nominated from one lakh schools will now be registered free for the Fit India Quiz. In situations where the school is willing to nominate more than 2 students a registration fee of Rs.50 per student will be levied.
The quiz will have representations from every State/UT in the country and will be a mix of online and broadcast rounds. It will be open for students from all age groups and the format has been designed in a inclusive manner where the school students from across the country will get an opportunity to test their knowledge on fitness and sports knowledge against their peers.
Satish K Sarhadi, Director, Sports Authority of India for North East Region said, "Students are the torch bearer of our nation. The first ever Fit India Quiz has been launched as part of the Fit India Movement to create large scale awareness about the importance of leading a fit and healthy life. In order to encourage more students to participate in the quiz, the participation fee for the two lakh students from the first one lakh schools has been waived off".

The winners of the Preliminary Round will then take part in the State Round in December and the winners of the state round will then go on to participate at the National level in January-February, 2022. The Final round of the Quiz will be aired on Star Sports. This is stated in a release.
