Former national boxer Mahendra Boro passes away due to kidney related disease

Former national boxer of the State Mahendra Boro died here today due to kidney related disease. He left behind his wife and a two-month old son. Boro, who was a resident of Noonmati, started boxing at the very early age at Ulubari Boxing Club.

GUWAHATI: Former national boxer of the State Mahendra Boro died here today due to kidney related disease. He left behind his wife and a two-month old son. Boro, who was a resident of Noonmati, started boxing at the very early age at Ulubari Boxing Club. Later he represented Assam in National Level Boxing Championship. After quitting the game Boro was associated with Assam Amateur Boxing Association and played an active role at the time of organizing different national and international level championship held in Guwahati and other parts of the State. Assam Amateur Boxing Association had mourned the death of Boro.
