Golap-Arati Hazarika and Sarat Kalita T20 Cricket: Bud Cricket Club storm into final with huge win

GUWAHATI: Bud Cricket Club will take on Gauhati Town Club in the final of the Golap-Arati Hazarika and Sarat Kalita T20 Cricket at the Nehru stadium here on Wednesday. Bud Cricket Club entered into the final thrashing Royal Cricket Club by a huge margin of 147 runs. Elected to bat, Bud, rode on two good knocks from Denish Das and Kaushik Giri, put 232-6 on the board in 38 overs. Denish scored 91 runs with the help of eight boundaries and one six. While Kaushik remained not out on 62 (4X6, 6X1) Sarupam Purkayastha, the other major contributor, scored 35. Mura Singh picked up 4-36. Royal bowled out 85 runs in 21.3 overs. Sarupam also performed well with the ball and picked up 4-18 which helped him to bag the man of the match award. Ayush Agarwal (31) was the only batsman for Royal who tried to put up a little resistance.
