Good start by Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Club

GUWAHATI: Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Club (NFRSA) looked in a comfortable position against Guwahati in the Nuruddin Ahmed Senior Inter District Trophy at DN Singha Stadium in Goalpara on Tuesday. In reply to Guwahati’s first innings total 174, NFRSA were 89-3 at stumps on day I. Sibsankar Roy and Ranjeet Mali remained not out on 26 and 3 runs respectively. Sumit Kashyap scored 41runs before getting out.

Earlier elected to bat Guwahati were bowled out for 174 runs in their first innings in 63.1 overs. Erik Roy was the top scorer. He faced 75 balls to score 47 and there were seven hits to the fence. For NFRSA, Abhilash Gogoi and Deepak Gohain bagged four wickets each.
